There are going to be major change’s taking place in the upcoming months pertaining to this blog. It will turn from a blog about rollerblading in arizona to a so called conspiracy based blog about the corruption of arizona. All articles will not be wrote by me and will be labeled as anonymous. If you wish to write you’r viewpoint please contact me via email. I will also cover so called ” TOP 5″ but this time it will be “TOP 5 from those who have not been heard”. So sit back open up your minds and begin to hear a slightly different side of the story.

have a nice night~anonymous ( Ego Taka Me Haguap Seek a pepeen).

this shall be intersting…. havent made one of these since thinh. every person i have done so far is from chicago as well. haha well here i go:

” who the fuck are you” is how i was first introduced to travis rhodes a few months back on facebook IM chat. Travis’s good friend from Geneva, ohio named Cory (frodo) miller moved out to az a few months back to attend college and rollerblade in this wasteland we call the desert. About a 2 months back i heard via cory that Travis might move out to az in a month or two and i was quite exited. I had observed his rollerblading for quite sometime now and was exited to meet and skate with him. On the day of his arrival i figured i would attend picking him up from the airport with cory. Upon arrival we could not determine were travis or his bags were. I decided to wait in the car ( in a no parking zone) for approximately 15 mins. Half asleep in the car i saw a 6 ft tall man carrying luggage and skates gesturing a hello or welcome hand signal. Once in the the car he turned around and introduced himself. Two minutes into the ride Travis rolls down the window and screams at some girls and turn around and says ” im going to get into trouble out here”. From that point on i know he was not only a genuine friend but a fun loving person overall. Since this time i have had the pleasure to skate with travis for around 3 weeks. He kills on the blades destroying not only himself but the spot. But he balances it all out. When travis is blading i sense a state of peace and joy. Its quite obvious that he is doing this not for the sponsorship, the fame, the glory, or the money but for the pure passion and love of it (the cause). Not only i but my fellow rollerblading freinds have all drawn real close togther with travis and ourselves as a group I see a bright future for Travis not only in rollerblading but in life. Thanks Travis Rhodes and keep doing what you are doing. Godbless, britt’

Sergio Ybarra 10 Hits From HELL

Posted in Uncategorized on November 26, 2010 by horrorshowdocumentaries

Britt- So Sergio, Have long have you been rollerblading and what motivates you to continue rollerblading?

Sergio- I have started rollerblading in 2002, so i guess i have been skating for around 8.5 years. Alot of things motivate me to keep blading,. I was typing this whole generic answer but I said fuck it and deleted it. this is my motivation as of right now………Darkness.pure pure darkness.I believe rollerblading has all types of ways of doing it. almost like genres with music.we are musicians playing on are blades but every blader has there own genre of blading for some it is. Valo so fresh so fresh…….. or Nimhs do or die!Lowlifes, scumblading.

Britt- Why do you chose Nimh as your skate of choice?

Sergio- wait wait wait.hold on let me finish I am almost done. Genres…… mushroom blading, eastcoast blading, texas blading, Razor brazilanerd (not to make fun) usd europe and all of that stuff.I guess it goes hand in hands with different blade scenes across the world well with that said, I believe there is a type of blading that I strive to do as a blader. and I honestly call it DETH-BLADING or DEATH BLADING like scum-blading, and mushroom blading or freestyle rolling or any other gay shit to describe aggressive blading I believe in deth-blading. Britt- what is Deth-blading? ha jk(do you want me to continue or do you want me to keep going with this). Because I honestly feel passionate about it.

Britt- No, please continue.

Sergio-Alright, I guess in a one word definition I would define deth-blading, I would say Jeremy Beightol! even though that is not one word and its a name. Well I would say Jeremy Beightol invented or started deth-blading.a darker, simple way of rollerblading.I call it “death blading” because of one, the aesthetic dark, goth, kinda glam look. two-the personality of the blader to be towards darker things, that influence his blading.(Views, music, leisure things)and three, the blade section.I dont really have to describe what, how who fits in a deth-blading section, but Ill list sections that I believe are categorize as “deth-blading sections”. Jon Elliott- what do you believe inJeremy beightol- forever nowChris farmer- bang, Chris farmer- the meantimeMason- better than baseball.

Britt- Why Mesa? Why do you believe mesa holds such deep tyes to the heart of brutallity and evil of rollerblading? if not Mesa what city then?

Sergio- Mesa….. fuck. mesa is just a suburban city connected to phx. People say its morman town and maybe they are right. the only thing I find in heart of mesa with rollerblading is me. because I am brutal and evil(in a liesure rollerblading type of way)honestly, I was born and raised in mesa and I guess the reason why I am holding on to it still is because I think I have unfinished business here. like there is this spot I want to do or film at.or this or that. you know, if I have not done it here, how can I do it anywhere else.I dont know. that thought process might change.I dont know what city, maybe Lodi NJ (Glenn Danzigs home town)or Erie, PA (Jeremy beightols home town) or San Diego county area( Santee,rat-tail etc)or Prescott Az, (the closet place to get out the valley of phx) but I am here. I am going to try to make the best of it.

Britt- Growing up Skating in Arizona, what was it like? Did it change once Revolution showed up?

Sergio- It was coo for the first year, riding around with my neighboorhood friends on my blades, it got really cool meeting meeting ryan b. and skating with him during my highschool days. Other highlights, meeting Luke, Ryan D, Andrew, Kenny, Kyle and Jacey. I used too look up to jacey and it was cool skating with him years down the rode.
Rev,?
Life changing,
I could put this and that but thats the only way I could best describe james and gretchen with out getting into details.
to me, they are heros.
and yeah, it changed alot when they came down here, for the better.

Britt- Do you think that the younger generation of arizona rollerbladers are doing well? What would you like to say to them? ( im speaking of az as a whole).

Sergio- I say, start young and stay young. Girls, titities, booze, pot and bad grades are honestly things that filled my mind during my young timesso I say to younger bladers(who truely want to live blading and push the lifestyler, I say, fuck those things. they are honestly comfort items, mayber bladers can add smoking cigs, girls, pot, this and that and not effect there life negatively, but for me , If I go that route(choice), then I dont think I could put my fullest potential in my blading. I currently quit smoking and drinking(3rd day)and it is tough for me at least. when I drink, I get overboard and buy too much booze and get careless with my money, I smoke all of my cigs, and a pack of cigs are more than 5 bucks a pack. If you want to be on top of your game with blading younger guys(or any guys), you have to discipline your self and make tough personal choices. its hard, for me at least to do this. I look up to james from Rev when it comes to “being a rollerblader”. that guy is so tough and disiplined, blading is his life. being a rollerblader is not an easy choice.James is best definition of someone who lives rollerblading.

Britt- What do you Believe in or Leading The Blind?

Sergio- ughhhhhh, Leading the Blind. Elliotts section in wdybi is the only thing that did it for me.Leading the blind till deth.

Britt- Do you feel as though Glenn Danzig and James Johnson are interconected? That they portray the same beliefs for their passion’s?

Sergio- James and Danzig are real Do It Yourself type guys. they are not going to stop for anyone, they wanted to do what do becuase it is there life. James johnson is a modern legend to me. but to him self, he would just call him self a rollerblader. but to me he is a Icon! Glenn Danzigs music showed me a darker part of life( a geeky horror kid type of way) and I want to show darkness in blading. Ive been listening to alot of Death Rock bands from the 80′s, 45 Grave, Christian Death, Bauhaus, TSOL, (its a start, but I am digging more and more)another few death rock bands I really like Son of Sam, Anti-world and yeah. but I have to say Samhain, and The misfits is what really influenced my blading to shift, along with Rat-Tail and Beightol.

Britt- Explain some of the things you do locally do benefit this scene?

Sergio- Ive done a few little street comps, and collected parts for this future blade clinic. I have not taught a kid once how to rollerblade. there was only one time where me and my roomates brought 5 pairs of skates to tns for kids to try out. It was ok from outside look of it but from the inside, one kid tried on blades and I felt happy he rode around with them. maybe it got him juiced to keep digging in to blading or maybe it didnt. who knows. I honestly dont think I do anything. If I did enough, things in the blade world would be honky doreybut there not, I tell myself everyday that “I dont do enough” for blading. everytime I here something downhill the words ” I didnt do enough” comes piercing in my heart.but just to throw a story. I was doing my second comp out in scottsdale a few years ago. and there was this random kid who showed up to secret school who I never met before.(secret school is up a hill from scottsdale skatepark) and he came right in the middle of the street comp. seeing Zarred Yates, Jacey, Andrew killing it. and seeing a group of rollerbladers together. I dont know if that kid got inspired to keep skating after viewing what we were doing as rollerblading community, but I still see that kid out and about blading. so that got me juiced. and I honestly think that is the most important thing about blading, besides blading its self, meeting and inspiring and being inspired by other people who love blading or at least have a passion about it.

Britt- What are your Goals for the Up and Coming Year?

Sergio- as of right now my goals for this year and the next would to. Move in a corner, of someones apartment/home. Not get a car. Buy a new battery and charger for my gl2. take care of my bad knee.take care of my body(dont smoke/drink).Take some time off work to blade.I just want to rollerblade as much as I can.I want to film for full sections. buy a sewing machine- to make cool clothes for filming. just be out in phx blading. Blade with you and film a cool Deth-blading video. just live the blading life.
last words……I forgot to cover alot of stuff, but its coo. Thanks Britt for swimming living in chandler, being really straight edge, for having everything. Thanks to Gilbert kids, Tempe Djs house, Tempe house, Ryan B. Revolution thanks to tits and gore. Tony Cheetah and the Strange Creatures Dudes. and finally to jeremy bieghtol and Nimh skates for changing the way I live forever……….

Horrorshow Occurrence 2

“The ending is the most important part of the story. This one is very good. This one is perfect.”

Zach Tierce Interview

Posted in Uncategorized on October 6, 2010 by horrorshowdocumentaries

Zach- Yomon

Britt- Sup cholo

Zach- Nadda, just got back from my ladies house

Britt- I am sort of starting on a blank slate cause that’s what i did with Umberto and seemed to work well?

Zach- Sure, sounds good to me.

Britt- What’s your name, how old are you and where do you originate from?

Zach- Zach Tierce,18,born and raised in Memphis,Tn

Me- What is the skate scene like in Memphis and how has it changed over the years?

Zach- Honestly..as of now the blade scene isn’t too great. Few people blade, but the dudes who do shred hard. Back in the day tons of amigos bladed daily and everyone was so tight knit ,but people quit ,moved ,got jobs and so on. you get the jist.

Britt- Ahh that’s really too bad to hear. I deeply admire the Memphis skaters, how are the spots there and do you feel that the way you skate today is influenced by the spots you skated grew up skating (tell me if this is a shitty question)?

Zach- nah, good question
Spots in Memphis ?huh..all I can say is sketchy shit. Most of the spots you see us skate people in other cities wouldn’t touch . I would say the stuff I skated growing up definitely had an influence on the way I blade today. Weird, haggard stuff.

Britt- That’s awesome. Also, from the looks of your guys edits you build a lot of your own spots. Is there a reason for this?

Zach- Well..mostly skateboarders in Memphis do the building part. Reason being..we only have one skate park in Memphis..but I would hardly call it a park.

Britt- Damn, I could not imagine that growing up AZ where we have 30 local parks. What is your current skate-setup?

Zach- Yeah..that’s why we have no problem skating dusty shit.
Riding the Nimh v1′s with v2 liners and featherlights

Britt- Yea I noticed in your edits the spots never really look perfect but you still make the most out of them. In Memphis is it hard to gain exposure? Like I guess what I am meaning to ask is there really any big skate tours, or teams that come through Memphis ever?

Zach- We have to be a little more creative than the rest.
Its nearly impossible to get exposure here. We had the VX team silently come through Memphis filming for “on top” but that’s all I know of.

Britt- Musicians from Memphis have always been noted for the Blues, Soul, and Rock & Roll music that originated there. Do you find yourself listening to this type of music?

Zach- Fuck no. I listen to a lot of old shit. Bad brains, R stevie, The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, you know the deal.

Britt
- I was just watching your SHOCK edit which was really good, but I was wondering what makes you decide what spots you chose to skate? Like it seems you don’t like the perfect down rail or perfect ledge that all the spots you skate have imperfections.

Zach- Yeah. I’m not really into the whole “let’s see how many tricks I can do on one down rail” mentality. It pisses me off when people make edits and all you see is rail tricks one after another. Gets boring fast. So I take a different approach. Some people appreciate some don’t . I just do whatever is cool to me.

Britt- Self-perfection, is a good trait amongst rollerbladers? So by carrying this mentality of what to skate and how. Who did look up when growing up skating?
Also, where there any Memphis locals that shaped rollerblading for you?

Zach- I really admire dudes like Farmer, Broskow and Bambrick. They push rollerblading to places it never would’ve progressed to without them. Two dudes I really look up to are Quintin Lamb and Andy Jacuzzi..Been blading with them since day one and I owe everything to them. They definitely had the most influence on me growing up even though they’re both the same age as me.

Britt- What do you want to gain from rollerblading. Like, basically what do you want your future in rollerblading to be?

Zach- I just dig the traveling and blading with all the rad dudes I’ve met. As far as going pro or whatever..that would be cool..I’m not too worried about it..Whatever happens happens. I just have fun!

Britt- In memphis has there been any competions like WRS or AIL come through. If so do you compete or our you more of a non-competive skater?

Zach- No, I’ve always had to travel to compete and only competed in stuff when I was younger. I really just suck at blading in competitions, so I avoid that.I’ m all about street and filming.

Britt- Also, in the future what cities do you hope to travel to?

Zach- Future cities to travel to….I definitely have a long list.
Chicago, Arizona, Bama, Florida, and SF again. Chicago is first on my list though

Britt- What exactly is theworstdudes ?

Zach- theworstdudes…no spaces. It’s a blade film that Myself, Quintin lamb ,and Andrew Jacuzzi have had in the works for a minute………..
Sorry im cooking a pizza. haha
digorno DUDE!

Britt- What is the release date and is it an online video?

Zach- It is an online video..hopefully to be released in February or March 2011
follow us.

http://theworstdudes.tumblr.com/

Britt- How did you guys come up with this name, like what is the significance of it?

Zach- Well, it’s always been an inside joke to us. We call each other “the worst dude”
and shit like that..and we figured we would use something that applied to us and how we are.

Britt- Alright, well it looks like we have an adequate amount of questions to work with. Thanks again for doing this interview and keep up the sweet skating. Do you have any last thank yous or things to say?

Zach- Thanks to all the dudes who keep me motivated and shred hard every time we go out. Thanks to Britt for the interview.keep it up.
